Dorchester Martial Arts - Submission Grappling and No Gi Jiu Jitsu..

Submission Grappling covers vertical grappling, takedowns and ground fighting with the aim of obtaining a submission using chokes, strangles, arm and leg locks. The sport of submission grappling brings together techniques from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Catch Wrestling Freestyle Wrestling, Judo and Sambo.

Submission Grappling is very similar to the grappling required for mixed martial arts competitions such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is considered an essential part of any mixed martial arts training.
