Class Timetable
The Arts
K1 Kickboxing
An explosive and fun style with a relaxed
atmosphere. Suitable for all ages and abilities, K1 Kickboxing
is a hybrid perfection of the kickboxing styles, it incorporates
Muay Thai Boxing, Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do and Western
Boxing. A great introduction to Martial Arts, with a structured
grading syllabus.
Western Boxing
Nick named “the noble art”, our boxing training
is non competitive and focuses on fitness and hand skill
development. Boxing training will enhance any other martial
arts you study at Dorchester Martial Arts as well as being
a brilliant stand alone system.
Muay Thai Boxing
Nick named “the science of eight limbs” Muay
Thai Boxing utilises punching, kicking, knee and elbow
strikes to attack with, and encompasses it’s own
form of vertical grappling. A Fantastic combat sport from
Thailand, that is great for fitness and self defence.
Submission Grappling
Covers vertical grappling, takedowns and ground fighting
with the aim of obtaining a
submission using chokes, strangles, arm and leg locks.
The sport of submission grappling brings together techniques
from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Catch Wrestling Freestyle Wrestling,
Judo and Sambo.
